But used in regular gameplay, it was hollow. It was also fun spawning in 100 Cutefish (now called Cuddlefish) when they first became spawnable,to see how they behaved, their size, and just have a posse following me everywhere. I have had my share of fun messing around with the dev console in Subnautica, but to be honest, I personally found that it took the feeling of achievement away if I used it for anything beside testing new mechanics and content, looking for bugs or just messing around with spawning in 1000 Peepers at once to watch the Stalkers go nuts. I do understand the desire for such a thing.
It is handholding, and the game was billed as a no handholding survival game. There is a reason why we don't have a dev console for console cheats like Subnautica does.
